the starters must have been in the locker room judging a blowjob contest.

last year was the last year RHS will EVER be competitive. So dont look for any major recruits to come out of RHS anytime soon.

2 or 3 prospects at Redemptorist, but anyone who knows sports know you don't have to win games to get recruited. It's a team sport and recruiters don't recruit teams; they recruit individual playes. You can be on a winning team and contribute nothing and still not be recruited

I thought they had a guy named gage that was very good.
Posted on 9/7/11 at 10:13 am to Larry Hollins
doubled teammed him and kicked away from him all night. Scotlandville knew all about gage. No one one man was going to beat that team

Why do think Mistretta left his alma mater? He knew the end was near thanks to the administration.

Bingo! You just answered your own question. RHS Alumni will tell you, we won't win a State Title ever again.

I was told by a PBS coach that RHS hired new admin and they would place more emphasis on academics rather than athletics and the "recruiting" for football, or however you want to phrase it, would be over with. I just blew it off as wishful thinking, but maybe it was true.

Sure, when Central and Zachary got quality coaching staffs, players at RHS started leaving RHS to go to better schools in better areas to play for better coaches. Mistretta then left to go to Dunham, and he brought some of his guys with him. With the shape that school is in with facilities and the area of town getting worse, who would want to go there?
I would be suprised if that school is still open in a couple years, UNLESS they move the school to a different location in Baton Rouge.

Thats a part of it too.

They REALLY REALLY need to do this. I might consider sending my kids there if they did...but right now...HELL NO!

They aren't good anymore. It will be a while before another player comes out of that dump hole!

The past few years, the admin has done NOTHING to help the school at all. I knew once Mr Fabre retired, that the school will go down.

Guy and the admin allowed ALOT of "athletics" attend RHS without paying a cent of tution, which PISSED OFF ALOT OF PARENTS, including my own...No offense, but you could tell who attended the school and knew damn well that their parents couldnt afford it...or didnt work at all...but thats another story
Im pretty sure Dunham gave guy a check book with blank checks to bring in talent to their program...You gonna be seeing interesting characters at that school in a few years, i promise that.

Correct....Deep in playoffs, but not state title.

True. Ive met him and he's a good experienced guy with a good master plan. Link to his BIO ...But the Superintendent gives a rats azz about RHS..She does shite for the school, but she bends over backwards for St. Mich....We had a big alumni event at the school a while back, and when they announced her to speak, she was booed by ALOT of people....

Those rumors been flying around since before i started HS, and i graduated in 05'...doubt itll ever happen....We just cant pull a "holy cross-NOLA" move like that.

That didnt start with Guy, it started with Sid and Guy just continued with Sid's model of success.
Yes, I know that Guy was given whatever he wanted and needed to succeed at Dunham. He will bring in alot of new freshmen every year from around the city to build up the Dunham program. They have alot of money people at Dunham and they will take care of Guy and his players. Look for Dunham to be a power soon.
As for RHS, look for it to close before too long.

If RHS does close, I clearly blame the admin for bringing the school down. Ticks me off thinking about it.
The idea of moving the school is melting into my mind since others mentioned it.
St Mich is the only other school that is "actually" ran by the Dioesase (sp) of BR, (SJA and CHS is still ran by their religious order) and i couldnt imagine just having 1 HS in BR ran by them..

I am a PBS alum, so I dont have a clear background on how the catholic schools are ran. I just know some in the know at RHS was looking at property in the Bluebonnet/Highland area to move the school, but that was a couple years ago. Also possibly in the area where St. George is now.
