Only if it's established that he ever said it in the first place.
Or that he claims that fight started before he intervened.
You put his statement up that he just came across people getting pulled from trucks and then show the video of him getting tossed, and add the testimony from employees that he both threw a punch in the bar and that the fight outside had already started when the truck pulled up, and you'll convince most juries that the guy is lying.

His lawyer has stated this multiple times.
Does't matter..his lawyer can claim anything he wants and can paint his client as a Saint.
However if Lowery said this to the cops and he lied, yes he is screwed.
His attorney can tell the public whatever he wants

JJ made his choice, broke curfew, got himself in trouble. Hope everything goes well with the court for the kid but as far as joining the team, HELL NO!

Having to deal with them will reinforce this.
No doubt. I had to call in some favors with a LSP friend to find a drunk driver that had hit me. The license plate was EVG ### and when I tried to spell it phonetically, the worthless cop basically told me to shut up, then "I got it!" Turns out, shitwad had written down EBG, just like I suspected. So I had to call the BRPD the next day and tell them where the hit and run driver lived. BRPD at its finest.

His lawyer is currently his spokesperson. While not illegal, it hurts your (victim and lawyer) credibility in the eyes of the public when you lie. Don't forget who will be sitting on the grand jury.

one of my friends has class with lowery, and he openly admitted he was shitfaced that night. he wouldn't say anything else though because his lawyer told him to keep his mouth shut. apparently he could face charges. i know, :csb:

His attorney made that statement
And as a "fricking Attorney" as you stated prior, you know that his attorney can say anything he wants to the public.
So with that being said.
The videotape that was in Shadys' doesn't do anything to hurt this witnesses credibilty if it just showed him in the bar.
Now if he told the cops he was an innocent bystandered that never went inside etc..he will have problems.
The keys to this case are being held with the statements made by the other 3 "Victims". The statements that nobody has seen yet.
This case is a lose, lose all the way around. However if all is true about Lowery...I really feel no sympathy for someone looking for a fight and getting his wish.

He plans on winning a civil case, he is a civil attorney.

To be more specific he is a real estate lawyer. And not a very good one at that.

He's not. He doesn't try that many civil cases. It's usually only for friends or when he sees a big payday.

I don't even have an opinion on that.

Touche`. I'm pretty confident that Unglesby will destroy Bienville (criminal or civil), it just sucks that Bienville will try to drag this out as long as possible.

Can't see Unglesby getting dragged into Civil suit...IE Not Jefferson.
Shadys proll will get hit...we can argue back and forth..but lawyers aren't scared to swing at an Insurance Company just for the sake of swinging.
I don't want this dragged out at all...like I said above, this is a Lose..Lose all the way around.

Argue the semantics all you want. You and I both know that by "3rd party witness," the spokesman was speaking of unbiased witnesses. That would be: not an active participant or his girlfriend.

Did you even read the report or do you just like to conjecture?

You place them in a catch-22.
No I don't. They could go to the police and give their statement. They didn't.
quote:
Their story does not contradict itself.
Really why not? The guy states he got up on the back of a truck to get a better view of the fight. He then states he saw the beginning of the fight and Lowery threw the first punch definitely. How can you see the beginning of a fight you got up on a truck to be able to see?
quote:
If that were true, it places Lowery in the bar which he claimed he never went. It's a pretty significant knock on his credibility.
But let's just get your honest opinion. Do you think the employees are lying and they were really interviewed by the police in this case?
Lowery never made that claim.
My honest opinion is that the employees seem dishonest. If you listen to JJ's lawyer he actually doesn't deny the attack or anything Lowery says. He claims JJ was not the one who caused the injuries and the injuries do not warrant 2nd degree. So why people keep trying to contest Lowery's statement when even JJ's lawyer doesn't I'm not sure.
