Does anybody happen to know any Redfish/Spec holes within 30-45 minutes of the Belle River area? The ole fishing camp hasn't been producing nice sized Bass lately, and I'd like to try to get on some Reds. I've heard to head towards Houma, but I am unfamiliar with that area. My Redfish experience is limited to Leeville/Grand Isle/Fourchon area. TIA!

Dularge/Dulac. Gotta learn the area. You will watch others catch fish before you ever figure
it out. Put in your time and you will be successful eventually

eta: you can also hire a guide. Marty Lacoste and Bill Lake are good.

I can agree with you that the fishing has been kind of weak in Verret as of late. However, I still enjoy early mornings on Bayou Tranquille with the fly rod. Headed down for the long weekend

what's the deal with Pierre Part fishing these days? Went to LV 3 weeks ago. Got skunked. Fished the Spillway last week. Caught 3 bass and went to Belle this Saturday and caught 2 bass and 1 goggle eye. Ain't what it used to be.

Spillway was on fire towards the end of July, and someone this weekend said fishing was good on Verret. You just gotta hit it right I guess

Probably not, but I am just fishing off the bulk head. I am not complaining at all I enjoy shooting the bull with the old timers in the neighborhood and getting a hook wet.

The last 3 trips I made to LV probably caught 60 bass...maybe 6-7 keepers. 1 trip to spillway out of piegon, caught 60 fish, 6-7 keepers...

ETA: def not 60 fish each trip, but 60 between the 3 trips...
