In the police report, Long reported the extent of Lowery's injuries to a police official, which obviously means she's not a third-party witness.

In the police report in his conclusion the officer stated that he called Long at 6:10 that morning and she told him that Lowry was at home sleeping. Stands to reason the only way she would be able to comment on that would be if she knew him, right?
