Gosh, I love College Football fans.

All off-season Krags was the difference maker in this team. Now, his removal from the OC position to a limited QB coach roll is now no big deal.

Outstanding point. Welcome to Homerville, Baton Rouge, LA.

The only way this isn't a significant blow to LSU football is if Coach Kragthorpe wasn't expected to have a significant gameday role in the first place. I don't know that this was ever really addressed. The stories this offseason have all placed emphasis on his role as QB coach and gameplanner, rather than playcaller.

Truth be told, there has been a fair amount of mystery regarding the play calling duties at LSU lately. How much influence did Miles have over the playcalling? Did he take over playcalling duties at times last year? If so, when? These questions have never been specifically answered by anyone inside of LSU football and probably never will be. Miles goes to great lengths to protect his players and coaches. While this has proven to be a great strength of his regarding staff and player loyalty, it makes it very difficult for the fans and the media to know exactly who is accountable for what.

At the end of the day, I think this HAS to be a significant concern for the program. Hopefully, Miles and his staff will be able to make this work.
