Can we make another big FA pickup and still get our draft picks signed? Not too salary cap savvy, so sorry if this is a dumb question.

Why?

Who would we trade if we got him?
Greer?
Porter?
Robinson?
Torrence
Patrick

because he is better then all of them!!!!

Only way I see we get Nmandi is if we traded Greer and didn't pay Harper and got a cheap replacement. Don't see being able to do that and get Jenkins, which I'd probably rather do actually. Porter, Nmandi, and M. Jenkins in the secondary sounds pretty awesome.

But signing Harper and going after Jenkins sounds more likely.

Just to clarify:

Cullen Jenkins: Report: Saints in the mix for C. Jenkins
Cullen Jenkins - DL - GB - Jul. 28 - 2:00 pm et
NFL Networks Jason LaCanfora hears the Saints are in the mix for free agent DE Cullen Jenkins, along with the Cowboys.
Jenkins would seem to be a luxury in NOLA, where Shaun Rogers and Shaun Ellis form a fine duo inside. The Redskins figure to bow out on Jenkins after locking up Stephen Bowen, though the Broncos are expected to make a run. Jul. 28 - 2:00 pm et

Nobody is denying that they're going after Jenkins. There's a 3 page thread on the 2nd page about it.

Going after Nmandi is bullshite.

Top 3 duo, first its a trio and second theyre not top anything, Greer is an under rated beast, who would become a house hold name if Nnamdi came here. Picks would definitely go up because of targets

Tracy gets beat like a drum on a regular basis, if a first down is being given up 9 out of 10 times its by porter.

And stop reaching for a third guy because p-rob isn't al Harris yet.

If you got nnamdi, Tracy would go to nickle, p-rob to dime and release torrence if need be.

I would rather pay Nnamdi this year at a contenders discount then over pay porter next year. You can always let him walk because you have two young corners to play nickle and dime.

Like every contender if you're the saints you have to toss your hat into the ring and get told no, it would be an injustice to the team, the defense and gregg Williams.

The worse that could happen is you're told no thanks or the price is still to high, but if you get that yes... It is on.

So I'm not gonna doubt the man, thanks for the info Tochap

keep some of informed on what you're hearing, you have no reason to come here and make stuff up

Why would you lock long term money away in a DE when you already have Will Smith and Cameron Jordan, who you just drafted? They plan on making him DT since he is over 300?

95% of the time, 3-4 DE = 4-3 DT.
