Who's got experience? Do you shoot through the mesh? Can you shoot through with a mechanical?

I do.
Shoot through the mesh??
I've never considered doing that, and NO.
Throw your arrow off track within the first two feet??
You want an open end to where you are hunting and you must close the flaps behind you. You cannot have light coming from behind you. You will be lit up like a christmas tree when you move.
Think dark, shadows and slow movement.
I've only killed one deer with a bow from a stand. The rest I have killed sitting at the base of a tree or from within/behind a blind.

no sir
Must be dark in the blind. Absolutely no light from behind. Facepaint also helps the cause. Movement must be slow and deliberate.

I hate bowhunting out of those things. I've yet to find one that I come to full draw comfortably, my arms are too damn long..

I have the RedHead blackout blind and have had no problems. I shoot through the mesh without out any problems. I would recommend getting a good stool that will pivot 360 makes manuvering inside the blind a little easier.

I would think being on the ground would put you at a pretty big disadvantage when bow hunting

I've tried it. No success.
And it's hot as balls in the early season in those things.

Get a double bull. Don't shoot through any mesh. If the inside of the tent is black, wear a black shirt or jacket. Hide the tent well...

I use them with my kids. They are damn hot. Just dont leave them out long enough to attrack rats because snakes follow them. We ran (2) cottonmouths out of one last year. My youngest son said he is no longer hunting in a ground blind.

I hunt from them but I don't shoot through the mesh.

I have killed one deer shooting through the mesh but i took it off afterwards. I now hunt without the mesh on my shooting windows. Actually missed the deer first shot and he circled around me and got closer. Even though I killed him it wasnt the best shot and I have to believe the mesh had some effect on both shots
