Great Southern Gun and Knife Show

Can I expect to find a "deal" on a .223 AR-15 type rifle? Will they be any less expensive than online or even local gun shops? I've never been to a show with the intention of buying. Specifically looking for the Rock River Tactical Operator 2 as my new personally owned duty weapon. FYI the online price is $950 plus FFL or $1100 plus tax for a local shop. I may also jump on a tactical shotgun if the price is right. TIA

The only deals at the Kenner show are on dreamcatchers, beef jerky and Taurus firearms.
If you want a deal on an AR, your best bet would be to find a parking lot deal

You can build your own decent rifle, with no skill level, for ~$600

I would love too but the department will only approve certain rifle manufactured brands/types. Rifle school is soon and I want to qualify on my own rifle.

go to Jeffferson Gun Outlet on david dr and pick up a Daniel Defense. Infinitely better then anything RRA puts out.

Great rifle, I do not personally own one, but have shot my buddy's many times without a single hiccup. On that note, I hope you never have to use it in the line of duty.
ETA: Keeping it properly lubricated is the key to reliability with this, as with any AR.

The stuff they have at gun shows is pretty off the wall sometimes. If you are going looking for a specific firearm, you may not find it. However, there will most likely be a lot of similar ARs that you may be able to find a decent deal on.

DD isn't approved...sucks, I know. Thanks for the responses. I'm going to check out the show with a buddy just to see what's out there then go from there.

Also go over to Bayou Shooter and join up. It's a great reference and source of aftermarket sales.
You could even post a wanted to buy RRA AR message in the marketplace and see what pops up.
I bought mine there, with less than 500 rounds through it, for $750 w/o FFL or sales tax
