September 3rd can't get here quick enough. To me, dove season begins the best time of the year with the other hunting seasons following right behind it! Plan on shooting some skeet this weekend just to make sure the ole smoke pipe can still sling some lead!

No doubt, probably my favorite weekend of the year.

While I continue to dove hunt every opening day, I stopped actually shooting them a few years ago.

Ouch! At least the brisket is good. If I get tix to LSU-Oregon you may be able to go on a good hunt this year.

I would suggest an OB dove hunt, but that just seems dangerous.

I've not missed an opening day since I was 5 or 6. My son has been going with me since he was 3.

WOOHOO!! 54 days!

Same here I just sit in the shade and watch them shoot while I cook and drink.

I sit in the shade, cook, drink beer, shoot doves and watch football all at the same time.

I will be bummed and probably forced to play golf or go casting.

You can take over the hunt, since I will soon be unrelated to the landowner.
