Heading down to Cocodrie this weekend, has anyone done any good during the week? How does the water look?

Fished islands between lake tambour and lake barre this morning, the water was tea colored but not muddy. Caught 40 trout, 12 reds, 2 flounder, and some sheep head. Minnows for trout, live shrimp for everything else.

My Dad and his friends went last weekend. 100 or so trout between 6 people. Also caught a huge bull red and a couple smaller reds.

I think you will be good.

Did you make it out to any of the wells in Barre? If so did the water clear up any. It was pretty stained last weekend. 2 weeks ago it was green and clear.

The reports I got from this week sounded like they would catch about 10 trout per spot and then the bite would slow down and they would move to the next spot and the same shite would happen, who knows

exactly, we were on Last Island (raccoon island) last Sunday. we'd catch a few them it shut down for a few minutes. Ended up with 60 for 3 men on plastic - avocado with red firetail. figured we would have limited out easily with the good tide and winds. water was a little dingy for some reason. fished from 7 to 1pm.

Im going on a snapper trip instead of a Dulac trip so the fishing in Cocodrie this weekend will be speck-takular!

Where? We are heading to GI Sunday for an offshore trip Monday. Post us up a report, and good luck finding some of those endangered snapper!
