I totally forgot that place was opening. Stopped by while they were still working on the interior.

Mexican Meat Market? I'm not sure what to think of that.

Besides the old "stereotyped" stories....What is the difference between a Mexican meat market and an American meat market?

Other than it is probably owned by mexican americans?

I believe they will have many specialty meats that are widely used in latin cuisine.

It was pretty damn good if you're looking for fresh meat or mexican items. I got some fresh ground beef, a little produce, the cracklins were phenominal and half the price of others around here. They also offer just the "fried pig skins" whole or in small pieces. Cheeses were fresh, and the staff was super courteous.

They have just about any meat you can imagine. Fresh quail, pork, chicken, beef, and some of the stuff was very well priced. I'm a huge fan bc its right by my office.

Oh, and there's a little area in there kinda like Sams club, where they were cooking tacos, and other foods with a few tables to eat.

Lastly, there's an entire wall of mexican pastries and baked goods, ranging from 30-60 cents eat, a great deal.

Looks like I'll stop by sooner rather than later.

It's owned by a family that has similar large shops set up, so I knew it was going to be a big place with a variety of choices.

It's a small chain out of Texas. One in Lafayette. Good place. I was in it yesterday.

Lady said they will be fully stocked by next week. Hell, they're still running computer cables through the ceiling while you're shopping, Lol.
Should be my new go-to, mexican grocery.

Cool, I'll check it out tomorrow. Chorizo on the grill sounds good right about now.

If they have marinated Carne Asada buy some! We always get this from a carnicería in the Mexican neighborhood here in San Fran.
