I don't know if you are interested in only LSU related things to do, but Dallas has GREAT country bars. I hate country as much as anyone... but the ladies are fine.

Speaking of ladies... they also have some excellent nudie bars.

Other than that, Dallas has nothing. I never understood why someone would want to leave BR to live in Dallas. Dallas has all the bad things BR has. BR has all the good things (that I'm interested in) that Dallas has. And BR has some things Dallas doesn't

Your best bet is to get to Dallas, go to a bar, then watch the game, then hurry home.

JUST MY OPINION.

Be a phony 30K/year millionaire and eat at a chain restaurant.

Not sure how this thread got from Labor Day Weekend in Dallas to Louisiana is better than Texas. Doesn't matter which place you prefer to live. Labor Day weekend this year, if you're in Dallas you can see LSU play Oregon. While you're here, you can hit some bars where other LSU people will be hanging out. I haven't made a weekend plan yet, but I read in an earlier thread that the House of Blues might be a good place on Friday night.

Contrary to several posting above, there are many non-chain restaurants in Dallas that you might want to visit while you're here. Pretty much depends on your taste, so I won't make a list for you.

if you are staying around the stadium six flags and water world are just right across the road. if you want a strip club there are four in taxi distance but the best is fantasy ranch. if you want a good steak texas land and cattle is close. there is an ice skating rink and movie theater in the parks mall close by. if you want night clubs try either downtown ft worth and the stock yards or in dallas deep ellum, both are about twenty minutes in either direction on i30. anything you want to do in dallas you pretty much can. trolls here hating on the place have probably never been outside of louisiana. oh yea you will also find that in dallas they actually fix the roads.

I live in the metroplex and Dallas does have a lot to do for any one.

If you like sports: catch a Rangers game, take a tour of Jerry's world (pre-game), tons of golf courses (some really nice ones but pricey).
If you like food: tons of great restaurants all over the metroplex
If you like music: there is almost always someone worth seeing each week
If you like gambling: just an hour to Okla. or 3 to La
If you like girls: Just go anywhere, there are plenty to choose from.

Etc, etc.....

My point is, there is just about something for everyone.....just do a little research.
