With perhaps the most dominate big man ever retiring today, we are left with only one dominate rebounder/defender/post presence in the league. In the 90's we had Ewing, Hakeem, and Malone. In the early 2000's we had KG, Duncan, Dirk, Shaq, and maybe Yao. When do you think we will see another 25-12 center?

I mentioned dirk, and he is at the end of his prime. It just seems like the 7 foot athletes don't exist anymore.

AAU coaches. The most 'competitive' environment for evolving players is a glorified pickup game, where coaching and fundamentals are non-existent. Really hurts big guys and turns them into screen setters and rebounders.

Bron is a big wing player, he is not a big man.

Michael Jordan IMO...

After Mike everybody wanted to play on the perimeter.

I think it depends on whether she uses a whip or chains.

Much like people who know the difference between DOMINANT and DOMINATE, they don't exist.

It's become a guard's league due to the hand-check rules and the fact that big men aren't protected much when trying to play defense.

It's hard to imagine a point in the future when we'll have another run with so many great bigs. Olajuwon, Shaq, Ewing, DRob, etc.

Greg Oden was supposed to be that guy. That went well.
