Honestly, you can say I'm biased, but if this is it (and I acknowledge it may not be) I don't think so. You can put this all on Tressel not taking action, not on the university.

Chris Spielman (sp?) was just on Mike & Mike and said the punishment will be "USC + some".......so you better prepare for the worst.

Really? Wasn't the Univ referring people to this car dealer?

Besides, you can only claim you didn't know what was going on down the hall so many times.

I think you are wrong. The university was made aware of the car issue, and rather than investigate the issue the university's compliance department helped cover up the issue. This is what will bring the harshest penalties on Ohio State. They knew student athletes were getting benefits that violated NCAA rules, and they not only did not report the violations they attempted to hide the violations or claim no knowledge of them. And it was not a one time incident, but a pattern of non-compliance lasting several years.

The situation becomes even worse for Ohio State if the NCAA concludes that university personnel assisted the athletes in committing the infractions in addition to failure to report the infractions.
