Deserved to be a title anyway...

I don't care if it's been posted btw

i'm really curious what he gets as a FA

He was more successful as a pass receiver, but the Saints aren’t expected to keep him just for that skill at his current price, a source familiar with the situation said.
Key part IMO, and pretty much everyone thought he was going to have to restructure to stay before tonight anyway. Not like the Saints went into tonight knowing they were getting Ingram.

Good lord people are overreacting. Why would the FO consistently say they want Reggie Bush in Nola if they're just not gonna try and figure out the contract?

Bush said in January that he didn’t expect to return to the team
I don't remember this. And the only real source seems to be Reggie's tweet.

I figured it had been, but I'm not going to click through 30 poorly worded thread titles to find out.

is it possible to trade him for next year picks?

Bush has already stated he would renegotiate his contract. He will calm down and all will be well in who dat land.

Bush was not expected to return to the Saints next season regardless of what the team did because he has so far declined to take a pay cut when the subject was broached before the NFL lockout began

1) Missed that
2) Not sure I buy it. Does he really think he is going to make what he does now if he becomes a FA? He has to realize he is underperforming his contract.

Makes me feel better about the Ingram pick that Bush wouldn't take a cut, but they are nothing alike. Actually, that makes me feel slightly better. When the Saints are in normal mode (i.e don't force shitty trick plays based around Reggie) we are pretty effective. Hopefully it keeps Payton from getting too cute.

That article does not reference any sources and I never remember Reggie saying he would not take a pay cut or that he did not think he would be back.

Doesn't mean shite. Even if he were, cutting down from $12m to $8m is useless to us.

Not at this time. The NFL franchises have basically said they're focusing on the draft for now and will start other personnel moves Monday.
It's not likely anyone would take a running back who averages about 400 yards rushing and receiving and 6 TDs per year. Especially if that running back is on a one year contract with an 11.8 million dollar salary.

After Ingram was selected, the source said, “This just makes the whole thing easier for everybody.”
