Believe it or not, if church's chicken is fried right, in good grease, it is very good.

Popeyes has been serving small lil pieces for a while now.

Everything about Popeyes sucks since Copeland sold them. That is, when they have chicken. I've pulled up a few times when they were completely out of chicken.

The last 3 times I have been to a Popeyes the chicken sucked and the service was worse. If it wasn't for the gravy for the mashed potatoes they would suck completely. That gravy is awesome!

I honestly don't know what it is but the Popeye's on St. Charles around all the Muses streets is like 50 times better then any other Popeyes I've ever been too.

I've always like church's but I find it to be way more greasy and causes way worse indigestion for me. Popeyes is just delicious greasiness.

Church's biscuits are the only thing that stands out as better than popeye's. The rest of it seems kind of a wash. Fried chicken is good no matter what

I'd pick a Churches over a Popeyes any day for chicken.

Bigger pieces. Better prices.

However, for side dishes, I'd go with Popeyes.

That entry cites the company history webpage, but if you look there it says they added fries and jalapenos in 1955. No mention of watermelon anywhere.
