Basically, we don't have shite to eat in the house, (mom is grocery shopping as I type) so it was up to me to come up with something reasonable to eat.
egg salad sandwich was the final product. but it was an awesome one.
used dyed easter eggs for the egg salad (so it was pretty colorful!) with light olive oil mayo, mustard, dill relish, lemon juice, light salt, red, white, black pepper, onion and garlic powder, celery seed, paprika, and parsley
oh and BACON
we had some pre-made salads (i think they're gross) but i took the grape tomatoes out of them, halved them, and sauteed them in the bacon grease.
i constructed the sandwich on wheat toast. used the egg salad, bacon (even tho i put bacon in the salad, you can never have enough), sauteed grape tomatoes, and romaine from the pre-made salads.
i was pretty proud of myself for getting such an appealing end result from the so unappealing materials i had to start with
also, just for shits and giggles, i sauteed the broccoli florets that came in the pre-made salads in the bacon grease with garlic powder, and they weren't half bad
that is a COOL STORY

This thread just reminded me that I need to make egg salad with my dyed eggs ASAP.

Not too sure an egg salad sandwich with the only thing cooked is bacon and warmed tomatoes qualifies as a Top Chef quickfire challenge.

Contrary to the OT persona you give off, you really are fairly domesticated arent you?
