They are currently arguing on MLB network if Troy Tulowitzki is a superstar in the league. Kevin Millar says he isnt because he does have 110+ RBI's like Ryan Howard, Alex Rodriguez, Miguel Cabrera, and Albert Pujols. Do you guys consider Tulowitzki a superstar in MLB? And does someone have to drive in 110+ RBI's to be a superstar?

He's verging superstardom.

No. You can't control who gets on base when you come up to the plate.

I definitely consider him a star at his position. I dont think he has the recognition from the casual baseball fan to consider him a superstar, but i can see him easily becoming one of the most recognized names in sports. He is one talented baseball player

he is definitely one of the league's best players. certainly better than ARod and Ryan Howard at this point i would say.

On the field he is def a superstar. But he probly doesnt have the perception of a superstar because he plays in Colorado.

I don't see how anyone can say Ryan Howard is a superstar and Tulo isn't. On the field Tulo > Howard and it really isn't even close.

Right. That's the only thing holding him back.

His performance at the end of last year boosted his rep.... continuing it so far this year is propelling him into real superstardom (being a household name to even common fans is how I would define that).

Absolutely, TT is a superstar. Unreal size and power to all fields for a guy playing SS, has "it factor" and is a team leader..a downright freak.

Such a huge edge for teams that have that much production from the SS slot. Like back when ARod was in Seattle, playing SS, along with Edgar Martinez at 3rd, Buhner, Griffey Jr, Olerud. Now as a Yank, plays 3rd, along with Jeter..major production from SS.

Ripken, Jeter, etc..make for such dangerous teams when you get that much pop from shortstop.

It's why the Phils were the most potent lineup a few years back, when JRoll was still in his prime, hitting well, and with power.

Kevin Millar is an idiot for saying the main reason why Tulowitzki isn't as good as Pujols, Rodriguez or Cabrera is because he doesn't drive in an as many runs as them. RBIs is the most overrated offensive stat in baseball. If anything, he should have brought up the Coors Field advantage that Tulowitzki has. He has a .926 career OPS at home, .804 on the road.

There is no way he is a superstar but he is still young.

Because he hardly plays. He also hardly hits any bombs and plays in Colorado. He is not a superstar.

He has hit 21 home runs in his last 37 games dating back to last year?

Tulo is a legit superstar.

So is Howard; he is one of the premier black players in the league, which grants him superstar status. Plus he seems like a nice guy and is a good community dude as well.

He has had a good 2 weeks...big deal.....everyone does that. He has had one season with 30 bombs and plays in Colorado. He also needs to start playing full seasons if he wants to be a superstar.

He has played 2 full seasons, the rest he has played 75% of games or less. He has only hit 25 bombs twice, .300 once, and never had 100 RBIs. He is not a superstar. He has had a good 2 weeks this year and a few good weeks last year. Big fricking deal.

Not yet, but he's really close. A guy can become a superstar in less than a year.

You shouldn't even mention his name anywhere near Ryan Howards. Howard won the ROY, MVP, got 2 and 3 in MVP, he led the league in HRs twice. He has hit 58, 48, 47 and 45 jacks in different years. He has hit over 140 RBIs 3 times and had 136 another year.
