The interception game is certainly at, or near, the top. Also the Tulane loss in the early 80's the week after beating Florida State was pretty damn bad. Ole Miss in 97. Passing the ball vs. Auburn on 3rd and 2 when Cecil Collins was averaging about 30 yards per carry...

And to cap off the shitty feeling was the success we had throwing in the final plays.

you mean once Auburn started playing a little softer to keep everything in front of them and JJ completed a bunch of underneath stuff to Davis...

2006 Auburn game was blown on purpos

Every single time LSU crossed the 50 on offense, the laundry came out...I don't think I have ever witnessed, in a single game, so many game altering penalties.

How about Miami(Ohio) 1986? Arnsparger losing to his old team, 21-12. Sandwiched between that loss was a win at home against No. 7 Texas A&M and a road win over Florida. Our only other loss that year was a 2-point loss to Ole Miss at home, except of course yet another bowl loss to Nebraska.

Pretty much the only people that bring this up are ones that only started following LSU in the 2000's and that are huge football snobs.

Losing to Miami of Ohio a week after upsetting a top 10 ranked A&M teams is much worse than UAB.

UAB wouldn't make my top 10 of bad LSU loses.

UAB had a football program a total of 9 years when they played LSU. If that game isn't in your top 3 then there is something wrong. This isn't about the most upsetting....it's the most inexcusable.

There is no way in hell a team like UAB should come into Tiger Stadium on a saturday night and walk out with a win.

I'll go with UF 2006. We had a lot of opportunities to win that game.

Someone mentioned the 1982 Tulane loss. How about the 1982 Miss State loss? That was sandwiched between two of the greatest wins in program history: the 20-10 defeat of the Bear in his last game against LSU and the great ORANGE blow out against FSU. Both Bama and FSU were in the Top 10 when we beat them. The Tulane loss followed the FSU loss and was equally as inexcusable. At least the 1981 Tulane team was pretty good. The 1982 team went 4-7 I believe.

UAB had a winning season that year and LSU was coming off a 3-8 yr. Miami-Ohio wasn't that bad, either as they won the MAC that year.

Hard to top either Tulane in 1982 or Texas A&M in 1970.

But if the goal is to pick one of Miles' losses, the 2008 Arkansas game is near or at the top.

Two years after the bad 1982 Miss State loss, they beat us again in Starkville, at which point the Tigers were 7-1-1. Miss. State really had our number during the Emery Bellard era. We had real problems with the wishbone.

I'll also give an honorable mention to Iowa in Saban's last game. Idk what the hell the thinking was, but Saban seemed to almost have checked out for that game.

MF'ing Hail Mary to win it.

so what? History is meaningless. We weren't matching 107 years of LSU history vs 9 years of UAB history.

It was 2000 UAB vs 2000 LSU. It was the 3rd game of the year with a new coach taking over a team that won 3 games the year before and 4 the year before that. We were not a good team yet and it was only a 3 point loss.

its wrong if you don't realize LSU football dates before the year 2000.

Miami Ohio in 86 was a good team, but coming off a big win over A&M and to lose the way we did, 21-12 with so many turnovers, stupid plays.

82 Tulane Tulane was 3-7 coming in, LSU had just won a huge game over FSU to get an Orange Bowl bid. It could be argued that it was a "meaningless" game for LSU.

94 Auburn. I don;t think we really need to rehash this one.

There, that's 3, whats "wrong" with my list?

only a football snob would say this. Its ridiculous with out the context of how the teams rate when they play.

Yeah, but UAB finished with a winning record in 2000. They were 7-4, I believe. Not a terrible squad. If you are merely fixating on that game because UAB was a mid-major, then why aren't you also considering Tiger Stadium home losses to Tulane, Miami(Oh), Colorado State, and Southern Miss?

Losing by a field goal to 7-4 UAB in a rebuilding year following a 3-8 campaign doesn't seem nearly as inexcusable to me as squandering a clear home victory over Bama with the grotesque recipe of mistakes I described above.

I think you might be letting your pro-Miles/anti-Saban agenda color your analysis here.

All of that being said, we damn well should not have lost to UAB.
