Meh, Tulane gives out schollies like it is candy. Only douchebags pay full boat. It was cheaper to go to Tulane for law school than LSU thanks to the schollie.
I was focusing more on the subpar education part.

Well, that varies. I'm glad my law degree is from Tulane (since I don't work in LA). My firm recruits top 25% at Tulane and only top 10% at LSU.
At any rate, the education at Tulane is at least on "par" with LSU. At least in my field.
The problem with Tulane is that the women all look like men. And the ones that look like women are total whores or spend their weekends in Baton Rouge with their boyfriend at LSU. The total whore part is not necessarily a problem with Tulane--it's one of its benefits. But it's a rather small benefit since we're talking about only 5 or 6 girls.

I like it but it smells like shite in the tunnel by Ragin Cajun. I don't think it is their fault; something to do with the nastiness of underground Houston, moisture and too many people in a confined space. But it smells like total shite and causes me to lose my appetite. So I haven't been in months.
Now Dominic's Dad's place--Mandola's--on the other hand.

Congrats on your overpriced, subpar education
So what exactly is your definition of 'par' again?

If the education at Tulane is subpar, why do all of the publications that rate colleges have Tulane ahead of Ella's shoe all the time?

what was skip's line to the media, if any of you have any friends who graduated from tulane, tell them they can put their diploma on the dash of their car and park in the handicap spots.

This. Didn't give two shits until I moved here, now I can't stand them. Its the "I'm better than you" smug attitude from the older people esp in the fan base. Younger kids I know who still go there or are recent grads don't really care about the rivalry

If Tulane is subpar, then what is LSU?

Because the U.S. News and World Report rankings (which I assume you are referring to) are based primarily on two things:
1) Research grants (which Tulane and LSU both have very little of); and
2) Endowment (Tulane has an enormous endowment)
If you want to really look at the quality of an education, then look at individual colleges (i.e. Business, English, Specific sciences, etc.) and how they rank in comparison to others.

Approximately the same education for a third of the price.

Nah, neither of those things are directly factored into US News' rankings. Look at the admissions stats for both schools. There is a clear difference.

Being in Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night is more educational than 4 years at Tulane.
