Where are the best seats in the house for anyone who has gone? My first trip to this park and I am not real sure where to sit. Also it will be a day game at the end of May if that plays into it at all.

caught a game out there last september for the saints/49ers game. sat first row of the upper deck, 3rd baseline-- seats were SICK. you're close enough to the field and get the panoramic view of the bay. it's a little section of like 5 rows called the view box or something. great PARK

pretty much the same as in most parks. baselines and behind home in the lower deck are the best, followed by outfield bleachers, then upper deck

Get a kayak and chill out in the harbor, waiting for a HR to go out of right field.

My office mate has seats in section 320 view which is between home and third. Great views of the bay. Sun might be a problem in view but there is an equal chance you may need a light jacket. If the heat is an issue for you (wife or kids or whatever) then sit in the higher rows in the lowers and you will be covered. AT&T Park is a great park and you will hav a blast!

No kids, just me and the old man. Just want a good seat for the view and what not, preferably a seat with a chairback and I'm not sure if the outfield seats have chairbacks.
ETA- I've only ever sat on first/third base sides

I have already caught a HR ball, would actually rather watch the game instead of just hoping for a HR out in the bay and/or falling my arse out of a kayak

Not a bad seat in the house. I sat in the upper deck around the left field foul pole (basically as far as you can get from home plate at AT&T), but it was still a great seat with a view of the bay and the game. Not sure about the cost, but there are a few seats on the right field wall that basically hang over the field, so it feels like you are so close to the game, which I think would be an awesome experience. If you are looking to go for free, then you can watch from the fence in right fence (not a great view), and while this seems impractical and not a serious suggestion, it is just a cool way to maybe catch an inning of a game.
ETA: The weirdest thing about the park is that the grass is not cut in a discernable pattern.

Was there season before last and sat on top ofthe right field wall (the arcade seats). Only 4 rows for 3 sections, but its a great experience. I think I paid 40 a piece, so not too bad. Batting practice was awesome, home run balls screaming past your face. I found the concession area behind home was crowded as hell.
Also, get the garlic fries. Very good.

The outfield view in left field is obstructed in the upper deck. If you have to sit in the cheap seats sit on the first base side, so you have a view of the lights Oakland across the bay. Bring a jacket or a blanket. When the sun goes down it gets chilly, mainly due to the wind whipping off the bay.

Thanks for the heads up but fortunately its a 1245 first pitch, so hopefully shorts and short sleeve Anyone have any insight as to if the outfield seats are all just old school aluminum bleacher seats?

I think they are all bleacher back seats. Check out the link below on the arcade seats, and pic below that.
#6 - Best Seats in MLB

I would go for the arcade seats that b rod lsu mentioned. This would be a unique experience, but I would guess a difficult ticket to obtain. I remembered having real seats in the upper decks, but you may be referring to the outfield. Bring a jacket because it is not worth it to be miserable the whole game if it is chilly.

I am guessing when he says end of May and 12:45 first pitch he is talking about the Marlins game (5/26). If so, there are dozens of tickets available between sections 152 and 148 on ticketsnow for 25 to 40 bucks a pop.

Just checked those out, about to snatch up a few in sec 148, hopefully I'll get to see the regulars play and not a bunch of bench players/bad pitching matchup

Good luck. I've been to 15 or 16 mlb parks (about a dozen that are still in use, old Busch, old Yankee, Shea and the Astrodome) and AT&T is right up there with the best. Top 3 or 4 for sure. Family friendly, great views, fantastic weather, good food. You and your old man are going to love it.

Garlic fries is a must in the park.

ive been to the park a bunch of times and my favorite place to sit was in the outfield. i sat in right center field in the front row and it was awesome. ive also sat in dead center in the bleachers and had a great time. like the above poster said, make sure you get the garlic fries, they are to die for.
