So because we have failed a few times thisweekend we can't bunt at all? Are these your first games of the year?

This your 1st series?

I think we eclipsed last year's sac bunt total last weekend

Bunting isn't the problem.

I think a lot has to do with technique. I've noticed that we tend to wait until the very last possible moment to square up and that causes the batter to lunge at the ball and pop it up. If we would just square up early and get set we would be far more effective.

This year team does not equal last year's team.

I am not questioning the call to bunt or not, I am saying that when called upon more times than not we can't

That is not accurate.

Again, bunting is not a problem.

We need batting practice in general. I have never seen so many swing and misses in one weekend. Everyone's trying to do way too much at the plate.

I think some people are underestimating just how good Florida's pitching staff is this year.

UF's pitching staff is one of the best in the country. I understand that. But take a look at how many fastballs down the middle are either swung through or fouled off the screen. It's not like Maddox is throwing 97

That's because the UF pitchers have our hitters baffled, and they don't realize those fastballs are coming, hence the timing is off.

Baffled? 70% of the pitches are a fastball right around the plate

Look, UF is very, very good. But we took some very poor at-bats this weekend

Skip's teams never could bunt either. Kids go to LSU to play gorilla ball, not fundamental ball.
