I'm not sure man...I got the Roku pretty much primarily to stream Netflix on my TV (I also use Amazon VOD channel as well), but other than those two channels I haven't really explored the 100 or so other channels they offer.
I know there is a UFC channel, as well as an NBA channel, but I'm not sure what the costs look like. The channel itself would certainly be free, as are all the Roku channels, but some of them (like HuluPlus and Netflix), have their own subscription costs.
I found this about the UFC channel...
Here is the full channel lineup that Roku offers... LINK
I know the Roku has a really nice user interface which is better than most WiFi blue-ray players and gaming systems. As far as the Roku goes, I think it's awesome and love it. From all my research (and I did a lot of it before buying the Roku), AppleTV and Roku are far and away the best streaming players out there, with Roku having the lead on content at the moment and Apple having a slightly sleeker user interface. ONly reason I went with Roku over ATV is because my bedroom tV doesn't have an HDMI port and the appleTV is only HDMI compatible, roku allows for standard composite/component connection AND Hdmi connection.

The new UFC Channel offers both live HD streaming of pay-per-view events, plus access to past UFC content via UFC Vault. Some of this content is free and more is available either à la carte or as part of a subscription.
Ultimate Fighting Championship fans are getting another forum for watching the latest bouts. UFC has signed a multiyear agreement to stream live fights on Roku set-top boxes.
The agreement kicks off May 29 with a match between two former UFC champions. Roku owners will pay $44.99 per fight, the same as on pay-per-view, a Roku representative said.
UFC fans will still have the option of watching games on pay-per-view through their satellite or cable provider.
As part of the new deal, fight fans will also have access to UFC Vault channel on the Roku box. The channel includes pre-fight events and press conferences held before and after the bouts. The UFC Vault channel costs $59.99 for six months, the Roku representative said.
UFC's service will work similarly to Major League Baseball's Roku channel, which allows owners to stream live games after paying for access.
