chili's is a MAJOR night out on the town there .. what does that tell you

Exactly. It's hard for me to eat here out of principle. I know that's terrible, but 95% of the people living in this area don't care about that kind of thing, so mediocre places thrive.

My friend is a typical Denhamite. She was hanging out with me the other day and we passed Longhorn and she said "OMG, we went to Longhorn last night. It was amazing. The best meal I've had in my life"
Now, don't get me wrong, I hear good things about Longhorn. But best meal in your life? Come on

The few times we've eaten in Denham, we're surrounded by some of the worst people. I grabbed poboys to-go in Walker last weekend and was about to explode because of the trashy family in there with the wife cursing and yelling at her 3 year old for making noise. She also gave back food and asked for more for it not being to her liking. Guarantee you she left no tip.

Longhorn has to be the worst restaurant I have ever been to. However, you are wrong about there being nothing in Denham. La Tiendita, Jake's BBQ, New Orleans Poboy, Green Cafe and that sushi place near Bass Pro are all perfectly reasonable places to eat.

Sure, there is still a lot of stuff that I wouldn't feed a dog (like Longhorn, Chili's or Cactus Cafe.) But Denham is actually moving in the right direction food-wise.
