Met Trev Faulk today

I'm sure there are those that won't care but after bringing my kids to school, I went to the track to do my run.
Trev Faulk was there, finishing up early morning work outs at his new school in Abbeville (not sure if he's teaching there yet but definitely doing am workouts). Walked up and introduced myself. He was so polite and he's huge (at least to me all of 5'4"). Looks for sure like he's still working out. Said he's looking foward to the season ---
Told him we were HUGE LSU fans and I had to ask him what it was like playing for Saban. Said he got along fine with him as they were both VERY competetive and motivated ... to no one's surprise I'm sure.
He was sporting a purple LSU wristband ... anyway, I think our little school is fortunate to have him. From all accounts, he's a great guy ... I'm hoping that the parents who tend to get "pissy" don't chase him off.
Oh, and sorry no pics.

Yes, Luke is right ... he's the head coach. Told me that Tyson Andrus from the 2007 team will be helping but I'm not sure in what capacity; I don't think it's an employee with VC though.
Looked Tyson up ... he was a sophmore in 2007; just checked the roster for that year but I didn't check to see if he stayed any longer.
Hopefully it's a great year ... Trev was BIG as in THICK through the chest & shoulders. Very soft spoken and polite and I'll say it again, I hope that parents/boosters don't run him off.

Tyson Andrus is from Lafayette, went to Northside. He played a lot of special teams in 2007 but transferred after Pelini left and finished up at Nicholls.

wish he would have stayed for his SR season!

he and Saban hated each other. Dude left early and Saban put the no go word out to all the teams so he went undrafted.

wasn't tyson andrus a package deal with keiland?
Posted on 2/24/11 at 1:30 pm to Maximus
I always thought the 5-flat 40 did him in on draft day. that coupled with an OLB frame moreso than somebody who projected to MLB.
anyway, best of luck T Faulk. Terry Tate a bitch in a faculty meeting and let em know you mean bidness!

Possible I suppose, haven't heard that one before. Andrus and Keiland were at NHS together in 2004, but Andrus went to Ole Miss then transferred here in 2006 when Keiland was coming in from Hargrave.

Really? Not any indication in my very brief conversation with TF this am ... of course that is the classy thing to do and it was a while ago.

In what way? I'm in no way trying to argue ... my husband went there back in the day and his education was fine.
Son graduated from there ... in college and doing very nicely.
Now, if you're talking athletics, ok ... you got me. But in general I'm tyh type that would prefer my kids get an EDUCATION and be still able to participate in things. I'm not all about championships ... I'm about working hard, doing your best and having fun when it comes to athletics. Not much of a competetive bone in my body. Except when it comes to LSU ... not that I play for them or anything.

In every way, this is coming from a district rival. Or former one. Cause my old school sucks as well.
Posted on 2/24/11 at 2:13 pm to Kracka
Kracka, and who would this rival school be? Most of our rivals are better than us!
Posted on 2/24/11 at 2:17 pm to tiger91
Hanson. They suck in every sport but baseball and softball now.
