The rumors are that we're willing to give him something like 4/$40 which is a fair number for all sides and couldn't be offered unless he opts out. The only danger is if someone takes a run at him and over pays. If he only gets fair offers from other teams he'll stay.

The thing is if they overpay too much then they hurt the teams flexibility to continue to improve. Also a big thing that will keep Paul in NOLA.

But would anyone be willing to move West for Al Jefferson?

Chad Ford says the Jazz are ready to blow it up and specifically want to get under the luxury tax. A West deal would do that for them and also lock us in with Jefferson for the next few years

HAHA that article came out after I started this thread man and I'm sorry I wasn't one of those 50 season ticket holders at the metting. You act like I did zero research on this. WWL is a pretty reliable source when it comes to local sports my man.

4 years may be fair, but 10 mil a year is not a fair number to West.

Some players he should make more money than at his postion. (There are more I am sure and compare the other PF in the league who have been in it for at least 5 years and the price should be closer to 13 mil.)
