If you ever handle a Spyderco you realize how nice having jimping is.

lol. I actually bought my current knife based on his review. On that knife, the blade and handle are jimped, but the locking mechanism which sits between the scales is not jimped. He pointed out that he wish it were more jimped which made me laugh. I agree that jimping is kind of nice, but considering that you already have a steep thumb ramp the jimping is not super necessary.

No shot. I think his sincerity and unbiased reviews are transparent especially when he blasts a product from a company he loves. i.e. Recently tore the BLACKHAWK Knoxx Stock apart.

Just because his reviews are candid doesn't mean he isn't getting a cut from the companies to which he has a promo code and link on his channel homepage. I still watch his videos, but it is something to think about. Also, I like my other subscriptions if I really want to learn the ins and outs of a gun.

Enough about nutnfancy. Back to the 1911s.

Maybe a few hundred over, but if you want something different, shoots great, higher capacity, I highly recommend looking at the STI website before buying, they make traditional frame and high capacity lower frame 1911s in a number of calibers, bushing and bull barrel models, in a number of calibers. www.stiguns.com
