His reviews on knives are pretty good, but after a while you figure out that a lot of his reviews are based on his personal biases. For instance, he insists on all of his knives having a shitload of jimping. It actually becomes kind of funny. I still subscribe, but some of the YT gun community thinks he pays for subscriptions and gets a cut from companies that he recommends.

To the OP, another option you might consider is Smith and Wesson. Not a lot of people have their 1911s, but those who do say good things. I have my eye on one of them when I get some money.

He always states that and says it's HIS OPINION. He always makes great points and I tend to agree with them. If you ever handle a Spyderco you realize how nice having jimping is.

No shot. I think his sincerity and unbiased reviews are transparent especially when he blasts a product from a company he loves. i.e. Recently tore the BLACKHAWK Knoxx Stock apart.
