Did you read the specific complaints? The problem with finding one about every other coach is that Trent Johnson is the LSU coach, so it is very relevant to the current state of disarray the program is in.
Speaking of cherry picking, you have to cherry pick to find a good year in his coaching resume. The rule is mediocrity, with a Sweet 16 (far from a championship) being the exception.
