Johnny O'Bryant, PF (Cleveland, Miss./East Side)
Ht.: 6-10 | Wt.: 265 | Rank: 30 | PF Rank: 7 | College: LSU
Stats: 19.2 ppg, 14.7 rpg, 6.2 bpg
Biancardi's breakdown: O'Bryant is a true post player whose powerful body and strength allow him to carve out position in the paint. He also has strong hands to rebound and soft hands to score inside.
Telep's take: This kid, because of his long hair and mature body, looks like the last guy you'd want to tangle with. He'll be remembered for his size and overall athletic ability. On dozens of occasions at major national events, O'Bryant would complete a spin move or knock down a jumper. The move would defy his size but demonstrate his physical gifts.

This deserves a sticky, BTW.

Note: Only two players picked West of Texas (Wiltjer and Kabongo) and Kabongo doesn't count because he is Canadian.
Not a single player from California?

Looking at the schools that the other kids on the roster are committed to is depressing; 5-7 schools pretty much covers most of the kids.
But alas, this is a small step in the right direction and provides hope. Good for O'Bryant!

People think I'm crazy, but I think LSU has a chance to be very good next year. This starting line up would win 20+ games, IMO:
PG Stringer
SG Turner
SF Derenbecker
PF O'Bryant
C Hamilton
Bench
PF White
SF Ludwig
SG Isaac
PF Warren
PF Green
We need more guards that can shoot.

How old is this bastard? He was old when he was ruining Gates and Agee's high school career 20 years ago.

Who's that? I'm drawing blanks but I don't follow bball recruiting quite as closely.

Your crazy.
No point guard. We need someone that can play the point and be a steadying influence on the club. Maybe Turner can provide that on the wings. But I do not trust Dre to do this.
Losing the Ross-Miller is going to serious hurt this team.
But hopefully I'm wrong and your right.

Can we recruit him again???
I think he is eligible to play next year.

He's only played in 7 games for UNO and averaging about 9 points. I don't know if it's that he's working on getting eligible, he's hurt, or he sucks. Or something else.
