I think this is a story straight out of the movie The Firm (didn't read the book).
Jerry Jones arranged for a girl to hook up with Payton in an extramarital affair. He took advantage of Payton's fondness of the drink and it was basically just human nature at that point.
Then the twist comes in. Instead of trying to blackmail SP with the pictures, Jerry gives the pictures straight to the wife. Now they're all moving to Dallas to try and save the marriage. After a couple of years...two sounds about right...Jerry can make the move for his coup de gras and bring Payton to the Cowboys.
Ultimate payback for the Caymus prank!
