Paid, I am sure....there is no way there were that many asses in the seats.

Paid is all we're really concerned with right now.

Needed 88,187 over last 6.
Warriors - 13532
Orlando - 13688
Toronto - 15155
Memphis - 15951
Need 14,931 average over next two games.
ETA - Not that it matters, but AP seems to think the magic number is 14,891 over last 2 games.

I did not think they were that many people either until they said it on TV. Must of been alot in the upper deck or suites.

The team will make the "benchmarks".

Most of upper deck was sold. The open seats people see on tv are mostly $200 club seats

The only guarantee is they will be here one more year right? This is just delaying the inevitable unless they find a local buyer, big nice arena in KC waiting for an NHL or NBA team. Seems like Winnipeg has jumped them to be first in line for an NHL team so looks like NBA. Just no money in NOLA to support NBA or any sport with 40 plus home games at 70 more a pop for decent seats (and lack of corporate though is the killer, if Memphis didn't have some corporate presence they would have hauled arse too).

It's possible the Hornets may leave, but it's not probable. You have no idea what's really going on. Promise.

the local ownership is the only problem, and wouldn't have been a big deal if Shinn wasn't broke. It would have been sorted out. The "problems" the hornets have are overblown, there are NBA teams in worse financial straits than the Hornets.
The Hornets aren't even the most likely team in the NBA to move. David Stern loved buying the Hornets because of the leverage it got him, they aren't a burden on the NBA, not even close.

Correct. In fact, imo, the Hornets are a "pet project" for Stern and the league. I think it's part of the overall issue of leveraging the CBA and creating a small market business model.
