And? Many fine dishes at fine dining establishments need a little salt to suit some tastes. It is not a sign of a barbaric palate.

At a place like Stella! the dish is created by the chef to allow certain flavors and spices to stand out. If I go to a high end restaurant that has me feeling the need to put s & p on my food constantly, I'm probably not going back.

Why, I've never equated bad taste with barbaric.
