I was there for some of those games. Back then, no tickets needed. You walked up and showed your student I.D. and got in. General admission for the student section. Same for football. I remember many games getting there close to tip and having to sit in the top level. I've been back many times since I graduated and I've never had to sit up there again.

I did not know Chris Jackson personally, but my mother met him several times and knew a friend of his on the team. She said that Chris came from a home with a dirt floor (or maybe wholes in the floor), and that his family had less than nothing. At the time, there were also concerns about his knees, which was something they often mentioned when they talked about him coming out early.
