We need 14,932 per game for the last 5 home games in January in order to prevent the Hornets from being able to opt out of their lease with the New Orleans Arena. Here are plenty of reasons to want to go to the games (written right before the last home game on Jan. 5th)! New Orleans NEEDS this team to stay. GEAUX HORNETS!

Like I've said before, as long as the season ticket sales are as low they are, we're pretty much screwed for the whole season. Yeah, we could come close or even meet this goal for this particular deadline due to the local business colaboration, but it won't happen as far as the whole season goes.
Another issue is third party sites, which I am guilty of as well. Sites like Stubhub have tickets for cheaper, but buying from them doesn't count for attendance since those tickets are already sold from the Hornets. I try to buy from the team, but when I see seats on Stubhub in the 100 section for $11, and through mid 300, I have to go with Stubhub.

I'll go to the game when they play the Celtics.

I'm a big Hornet fan but haven't been to any yet. During hunting season and around Christmas is too busy for me. I plan to start going to a few in February.
I think attendance will get a little bump now that the Saints and LSU are finished.
I plan on making the Bulls game Feb 12 and the Rockets game Feb 27. Maybe one or two more.

is it attendance or ticket sales?
i want to go to the game either wednesday or monday... but i can get better tickets for way cheaper on stubhub than on the hornets website... if i buy two crappy tickets for like $12 on the hornets website and just use the better ones, will they count towards the total we need?

Ya know, bottom line is, you're right -- as a general premise, pro basketball fans need to step up and get their butts in the seats. But it must be pointed out, the Hornets don't HAVE to leave, it's THEIR choice, it's not like they automatically have to leave New Orleans if the attendance figures aren't met, ya know what I mean? People act like this is a situation where the Hornets' hands are tied and they HAVE to leave if the attendance figures aren't met.
