I think it really depends on the coach and not the program. The only reason Miles leaving is an issue is because of his ties to Michigan. If Michigan had a headcoach who was an LSU guy or a Florida guy they would likely leave if the opportunity called.
Myself I want to be a college prof one day and would teach at Michigan over more prestigious jobs like MIT and Stanford simply because my ties to Michigan.

99 times out of 100 MIT would never call on you. Academic inbreeding is at its finest at MIT and other New England elite schools. As good as Michigan is in economics and computer technology and such, MIT could give a rats arse about you.
Either way, a coach does not think like you do.
