Has there ever been a big play threat that made less big plays

than Reggie Bush?
-He hasn't had a 100 yard rushing game since 2006
-In his one year career, undrafted Chris Ivory has twice as many career 100 yard rushing games as Bush has in 5 years
-He has never rushed for 600 yards in a season
-He hasn't rushed for 1000 yards in the last three seasons combined
-In the last 3 season he has 45 rushing first downs. 15 running backs had at least 45 in 2010. 17 in 2009. 21 in 2008.
-He hasn't had a 100 yard receiving game since week 1 of 2008. Since week 5 of 2008, he hasn't had a receiving game with over 55 yards.
-This season he had more injuries than touchdowns
-This season he had one punt return over 10 yards. He had two fumbles on punt returns.

Wow.
For such an "elusive" back, he rarely ever makes anyone miss in the open field, first guy usually gets him down every time.

he is just a BUST in the pros.... happens all the time, cut your losses and kick him to the curb.......

Yeah because this board is just full of threads that actually post stats/facts
Posted on 1/10/11 at 7:17 am to whodatfan
I'll give him that he actually gave statistical evidence instead of "Reggie suks!1!1!1"

It's full of 1001 Reggie Bush threads. Thanks for your contribution. We needed it.

There are 2 Reggie thread on the first page.. One "trade reggie" and the other predicting his stats. Both, like your posts in the thread, complete shite with no substance.

You'd have to look several years back in the early stages of the Reggie Bush debate threads to get my actual argumentative posts on the topic. Nowadays, if you frequent this board enough, you would know this topic has been beaten into the ground. Face it, stats or not, you just keep contributing to the most worthless topic on this board. Therefore, my contributions are only to be a reminder of how much of a failure any Reggie bush thread is at this point. Sorry you can't take the truth. 99% of the posters here would agree with me. They'll be around in a bit to clue you in.

Yeah...myself and a few others got blasted on here for saying we shouldn't have drafted him when we did.
I really thought a light came on for him in the playoffs last year where I thought he played really well.
I think you can basically summarize his flaws by a couple simple observations :
Not durable
Not consistent
Fumbles too much
He just hasn't been a great value over the long haul. But ironically I don't think the Saints would have won the SB last year without him playing as well as he did in the playoffs. I'd understand if they wanted to part ways with him.

This shite's been going on for 5 years now and you think you're the first to bring stats to the discussion? Wow...

Yeah because shite from 5 years ago is relevant now...
Please find a 2010 thread with these stats since I'm too lazy

And you go find one from 2010, you lazy frick. I've already done my share of Reggie bashing with stats to back it up. I'm sorry if you're late to the game.

fitting name.
And real original thread too. Good work on, uh, those Bushwhacker stats.

There's apparantly a certain amount of Team Reggie on this board. That's just something you have to deal with. Reggie is a failure as a RB in the NFL and everyone knows it. His only future is moving to WR.
I brought this up last year after the Super Bowl and was thoroughly chastised.

He is worth keeping as a decoy maybe, but for much less than he has been getting. I remember in the Ravens game their entire D flowed to his direction on a big play to someone else.
Posted on 1/10/11 at 11:41 am to Esarhaddon
Which he could do as a WR out of the backfield.

don't sweat it, a handful of guys think they are the only saints fans with the right to give opinions.
Reggie sucks and many of them don't want to see the stats and therefore will keep trying to steer this another direction.

i wouldn't call him a failure.
He is a pretty good football player. He has made big plays and has been an integral part of our offense the last 5 years. And I will always be grateful to him for lifting our fan's spirits after he was drafted following Katrina.
His worth comes down to his contract though. He doesn't earn his pay check, and that is where the problem comes in.
And that all comes down to the rookie salary cap, which is the major failure in this whole equation.

Yeah it should have been obvious in 2006 that he's not a real RB. His career ypc is probably less than 4.
