fwiw...It will be close and anyone's game.

Stanford would have a much better chance against Auburn than Oregon does because of their talent on the lines and an elite passing QB to exploit AU's terrible secondary.

Oregon simply doesn't match up will with Auburn. AU is elite against the run and Thomas simply isn't a good enough passer to exploit AU's weaknesses

I'm not, but the last three games they've both struggled.... granted UGA, Bama, and USC aren't bad defenses... but those two rushed for a combined 300 yards in those three games... not exactly stellar production.

As the season progressed, it became more on cam's shoulders... maybe our running game shows back up.... we'll see.

Um, Stanford's talent on the line couldn't get it done against Oregon and DT will expose that secondary just like he did against Stanford.

It's all good. If the Ducks win do they get your respect or what? Can't count on many on this site to do so.

Of course..cause Auburn is great against the pass and Oregon can't compete.

The defensive secondaries in the Pac 10 suck. Auburn will be just as good in the secondary as what Oregon has competed against for most of the season.

I don't expect Darren Thomas to win this game with his arm, no.

Do you think it will be as high scoring as most people are anticipating? I know both teams play extremely fast and all that, but I could see both teams making a few stops on the defensive side.

I think tonight's game is going to be eerily similar to the USC/Texas game 5 years ago when you had the best player, like UT's Vince Young ($Cam Newton this year) against the best "team", USC (Oregon this season). I think Oregon wins, but it may be just like that USC/Texas game... last team with the ball wins.

Auburn has Cam Newton and they are the best team. So no.

I don't think Auburn's "team" is better. They have the best player in Newton, and another dynamic playmaker on their D-line in Fairley, but Oregon has the more talented team overall, and I think they're better coached.

still debatable. We'll see what Oregon looks like playing outside of the Pac 10.

I think it's going to be AU by 13 or more points

I've seen them in several games and basically this is my view of the AU offense: It's essentially unstoppable unless some stupid fluke play calling gets in their own way.

They could probably win this game and throw 12 or less passes. They're almost unstoppable running the ball and thus probably won't turn it over.

If Oregon can't get penetration against the AU offense they're going to score almost every time that they have the ball.

I think so too.

I'm just trying to decide how much success Oregon's offense will have against Auburn's defense. The O/U is set at 72 and I can't make up my mind.

Yeah. I just wouldn't want to get into a shootout type of game with AU.

Oregon can be a second half team but if they get down by even 10 in the first half you can count them out. AU will score 40 or more in this one.
