I have no doubt that this anecdote is true, but it doesn't mean all that much. Sometimes even parents and grandparents don't know where a kid is headed or they hope that they change their minds and think their dream situation is more probable then it really is.

I am sure Robinson and many others will second guess themselves several times about their decisions, but then, they will stick with their commitments. It seems to happen a lot, especially when former players talk about their college recruiting process after the fact. A couple of guys even said that they had doubts at the podium when they were announcing their decisions, including Terrence Jones and Ralph Sampson.

if a Top 5 OT tell you that he wants to attend your school, you make room for him

you MAKE the numbers work

I agree, yet when you have the top 5 DT,WR,and LB wanting in, plus you already have 4 studs commited for Oline..you have to be very picky

You can NEVER EVER have too many quality offensive and defensive lineman. They will make the numbers work if this is true.
Just hope that they learned something from the Elliot Porter situation and are prepared to offer greyshirts.

I have heard they same kind of things from a couple of coaches at Thib. High and they feel that the family wants him at LSU. Who knows though.

It's never over till momma says it's over.

There have been many an in state kid make a last minute change of heart due to family influence.

Reed and Robinson are in different leagues because of this.

I always wanted to see G Robinson play for LSU. But now with (J Hill) I don't think LSU has the room to take him. If LSU has to choose between him and CJ Johnson I think they choose CJ. G Rob will be at the Aubies place for college.

Man, LSU sounds like they will have some tough decisions ahead. If G Rob flps, and a Jernigan or others want to come - could you see letting go of an Austin or even Turner to make room? Maybe the DT/DE that I've read had some legal issues?

No, we would look at guys like Thomas, our kicker, and Rivers to greyshirt.... or we could put Thomas in a prep school since he didn't play FB all year

I think LSU would make room for him if need be. Don't think they'd pass him up.

Part of me wants to say we have to stick to our guns and not take him because we got someone else in his place already who is committed to us and we shouldn't screw them over (looking at Jonah Austin).

But the other part of me, besides the fact he's a really good player, is saying addition (to us) by subtraction (Auburn) is alone worth getting him on campus. The last thing I want to see is him having a great 4 year career at Auburn, blocking our best, and going onto having a good NFL career. Plus, there's always recruiting implications when an SEC program comes into our territory, home territory, and takes one of our players (TWICE from Auburn in consecutive years from the same school nonetheless).
