SIGB...

According to the L.A. Times, USC AD Pat Haden and President Max Nikias will be in Indianapolis for the NCAA's hearing of USC's appeal for a reduction in sanctions from the Reggie Bush & Parents transgressions.

IMHO, SC will seek to cut scholarship reductions from 30 to 15 over the next three years, and reduce the bowl ban from 2 seasons to just one (this season).

In light of the NCAA's "softball" treatment of Auburn's Cam Newton situation and the tOSU memorabilia vendors/student-athletes, I like SC's chances to be shown some degree of leniency.

there's been no ruling made by the COI in Auburn's case. Cam's eligibility has been reinstated by a seperate panel. I'd be surprised if Auburn received anything from the Committee on infractions.

And personally, I hope y'all don't get penalized. I kinda like Auburn.

The fact that there is now a "perception" that USC got slammed while others are getting off lightly works in USC's favor though, IMHO.

I still doubt the NCAA shows any leniency. They will use this as an example that they are serious about punishments IMO.

It'll be pretty shitty to bring the hammer down on USC while other schools are doing the same shite. I don't like USC, but I do think their punishment should be minimized in light of the current rulings the NCAA has been handing down.

Hope it doesn't happen. USC is good for College Football. Having Oregon and USC both at the top of the Pac-10 with Stanford as a 3rd will would be interesting.
