I was looking at under $1000 and around like $500 or $600 and the ziess conquest for $400

Honestly, I'd go with the Remington 700 just because of it's long standing name as being a reliable gun. All of my predecessors used em and they were real hunters.

Get the Tikka T3 and a Zeiss. You will have a bad arse rifle.
Tikka is one of the few rifles that put a 1MOA guarantee on their rifle. That means it is guaranteed to shoot within one inch at 100 yards.
Weatherby's is 1.5MOA and Remington doesn't have an MOA guarantee at all.
Last year, I made a 330 yard kill with my Tikka 270wsm (you might also consider this caliber).
