I don't think Amores Perros is streaming... I'd also like to second my own nomination of The Messenger from 2009 starring Woody Harrelson

Restrepo - 2010 - Documentary

Following a company in the Korengal Valley in Afghanistan during 2007.

I spent a year and a half in Afghanistan, and i can tell you that this documentary gets it.

Just a mega mix of stuff. Threw in some Kurosawa and Bergman since I'm surprised nobody else has already. There's also a lot of popular flicks available I'm not sure why you don't want to list mainstream movies.

Watched The Messenger last night. Great movie. Keep the recommendations up and this thread active enough to keep sticky status.

Thanks, just watched on the recommendation. Very good, I've always liked Adam Scott as an a-hole character actor, but he does a great job all around here (even though he's still an a-hole).

I also just watched this because of this thread. I was thoroughly impressed all around. Funny and...I don't know...sad? REALISTIC?
