start. Do they realize outside of the UF game Lee really didn't prove anything this season?

he was clearly better than jj. the stretch of like 8 games in a row without a td pass should have got jj benched

Was he suppose to prove something? What did JJ prove?

He was clearly better for six quarters or so. Outside of that he didn't do much.

I'm not defending JJ, I'm saying both are terrible.

If u think Miles is gonna sit JJ to start Mettenberger, u must not have watched too much LSU football in the past 5 yrs...YES!!! Any other coach with a brain would play Mettenberger, but Miles is gonna let JJ continue to regress until about midseason, then put Zach in the homecoming game only to let him hand the ball off for 6 plays...at the end of the game...And, you can't argue with me bc, sadly enough, he has done this before.

We'll see, I'd bet he will be the starter next September in Jerryworld.

Of course not, he isn't on the team yet.

Next year, however, he will be starting because JJ will transfer out after Mett beats him out as the starter.

Without Lee, we lose to Tennessee and Alabama as well.

I can argue with you because you proved you know nothing about this situation.

Burn Mett's redshirt? I'll let others take you to the woodshed on this comment.

I have posted this a few times but comparing the situation between Lee and Jefferson to the situation between Mettenberger and Jefferson and assuming Les will treat Mettenberger the same way he treated Lee is nuts.

Let me start off by saying I really admire Jarrett Lee and hope for the best for him. I also hope for the best for JJ. And let me also say that I do not know enough about Mettenberger yet to make bold predictions.

But, let's assume that Mettenberger is as good a prospect as many on here believe (and good enough at a position of need that Miles personally recruited him).

Lee and Jefferson are both below average QBs for elite college football. Sorry but it is true. If Mettenberger is elite, then this will not be the same situation at all.

It's like you are at a party and there are a couple of $12 bottles of wine on the bar. Some like bottle #1, some like bottle #2 but no one is really enamored. Then the rich uncle shows up with a bottle of Opus One or Chateau Margaux or Cakebread or whatever really good wine you have had. That bottle won't last 5 minutes as anyone who knows it or tastes it will clearly prefer it over the other two generic, grocery store wine they have been drinking.

If Mettenberger is legit, that's what will happen. Miles has a man-crush on Mettneberger. He's invested in the kid and will want him to succeed. And Miles wants to win. We know JJ is Yellowtail and Lee is Blackstone. If Mett really is Opus, it will be easy for ole Les.

Mett spent his redshirt year at UGA. he has 3 years to play 3.

And jj at times showed why they stuck with him.

They both stunk. Don't make it like JL was Breesus
