Have watched the first two movies of the trilogy and thought they were great. Trying to get the third one now. I heard that they are remaking it with American actors. Anyone else a Stieg Larsson fan?

I take it this means you've watched the Euro movie adaptations?

I'm currently reading the 2nd book. Very into it. I've heard the 3rd isn't as good though, so, we'll see.

My wife loves these books and made me watch this movie. It was a great freaking movie, so now I am going to go back and read the book and the remaining series.

I listened to the book on CD first and liked it a lot, mostly because it was so different. By the end, though, my red flags about suspension of disbelief were going off. The plot really does not stand up well to scrutiny but it was still pretty good overall.

Watched the movie last week; the subtitles stopped being a problem pretty quickly and I thought it was very well done. Some compromises had to be made to keep the movie length reasonable but the choices made were good. I really doubt that Hollywood will make a better version.

I dl'd a Bluray rip yesterday the third one is really good. Really brings the whole thing full circle.

I started reading the books. Just finished the first one, the movie was very close. Even a lot of the dialouge was the same. The only key (while minor) differences where you got a better understanding of how Lisbeth was percieved by others in the books.

I hope they do a good job.
The movies were all pretty low budget and the last two were actually made for Sweedish TV.
