The middle is the one I got b/c I wanted the 802.11n capibility as well as the ability to run 1080p. If you only need 802.11g wireless and/or if you only need/want to run 720p then the base model would be enough. Check out the breakdown of what each model offers and figure out what features you want vs. what you want to spend. The middle worked out perfect for me. Just as an FYI, they do charge tax for these.
