Sugar Bowl Advice Please

I'm thinking about making the trip for the Sugar Bowl. I'd fly in on Tuesday and out on Wednesday. What decent hotels put me in range of the pre-game party atmosphere and the Superdome?
Thanks for any and all helps/tips.

Anything in the quarter or warehouse district.

Make the trip to Oz for sure, best bar on the strip. tOSU took that place over in 2007.

Marriott has several properties (Renaissance, Marriott Arts, - call Marriott's toll free number and tell them what you want.)

You might have some trouble finding a one-night hotel ... at least at a decent rate.
I think that for being pretty central, it's hard to wrong with the Marriott, the JW Marriott, or the Sheraton (all on Canal).

Riverside Hilton, W Hotel, take your pick down there. There are a ton of hotels.

how much a night are you willing to spend....
on the high end, there's LePavillion (which is on Poydras close to the dome), the Roosevelt, and the Ritz Carlton on Canal.....
just do a hotel search for the Quarter, Canal St, and the Warehouse District.....you'll find all sorts of hotels....

Most will have require more than a single night's stay. Come early, stay late, spend money.

Since SB is a special event in NOLA, a three-or-two night minimum stay is required. Search expedia or kayak for hotels in the French Quarter or downtown. Stay away from New Orlean East, Westbank or anything on Tulane Avenue or Airline Hwy ... ô just saying ô

The Royal Sonnesta is a nice one. I wouldn't recommend the Sheraton. It's completely overpriced. It has a beautiful lobby, the rooms are nice, but not worth the $250 a night. If you want reasonable, the Holiday Inn on Rue Dauphine is nice, a few blocks for Bourbon, and well-priced. Enjoy New Orleans! I hope your team gets destroyed though.

Well nothing gets pass this guy! Except for maybe the fact that Uncommon Cents is an LSU and was trying to insinuate that OZ is the type of place I would frequent.
Oh and thanks a lot for ruining the joke.

You don't go there? Come on man. You can come out.

Thanks for the responses. I could probably fly in Monday and leave Wednesday. I work for myself so it's a "time is money" thing if I arrive a day early. I did not get the chance to come in 2007. Business is much stronger for me now than it was then. Plus, I expected that the result wouldn't be what I hoped for back then. Y'all had a great team that year.
