Why wouldn't Miami go after Petrino ?

This is not hating on Bobby whatsoever or anything like that, nor am I hating on Arkansas. But let's be honest here, Miami is a better program then Arkansas.
He doesn't recruit all to well, but recruits to his personnel brilliantly. He will have to compete year in year out with Auburn, LSU and Alabama, and frankly who honestly wants to do that ?
He's a terrific offensive mind who I believe would do tremendously at Miami.
Thoughts ?

His base pay is $3 million/year according to some Hog fans, and I think he'll be getting a raise after this year. I'm not sure what Miami is looking to spend.

Arkansas fans also claim his buyout is something ridiculous.

He is fixing to get a big raise, and will have a 6 million dollar buyout. He is also getting new football facilities. He is content, and has said it many times.
Its ok LSU fans though, i know you just want him gone.

Petrino always wanted to be a coach in the SEC. Just read the article Pat Forde wrote the day after he left the Falcons. If Petrino ever leaves Arkansas, it's going to be for a top tier job in the SEC like Alabama, LSU or Florida.

Never know when Petrino will bolt. He has a history of blting and leaving just a note on the door. See Saban in Miami 2007 and Petrino Atlanta 2007.

He would kick arse in miami, i'm surprised his name hasn't surfaced as a target. A lot of his former recruting ties are from the florida area.The real problem is that he is pretty much locked in at arkansas, our AD took care of the job hoping reputation by giving him a good sized buy out. He is also getting a pay and buyout raise this year.

That's actually a really good question!
I don't know if Petrino can leave arKansas this early though. He still has a bad rap from the Auburn, Louisville and Atlanta Falcons ordeals. If he goes to Miami, he will have had four jobs in the last six years.
