actually, it's not that far-fetched.
If Bama beats Auburn, Arkansas beats LSU, and Auburn beats South Carolina ... a very likely result:
Auburn to BCSCG
Alabama to Sugar

We would both be 10-2 but it would come to a head-to-head decision and being that we beat Bama, LSU goes to the Sugar. I really don't see USCe beating AU tho. I can def. see Bama beating AU.

Bama to the Sugar Bowl?? Come one FOX!!
Am I missing something here?
If you read between the lines, this projection means they're expecting Ark. to beat LSU, Bama to beat Auburn and the Sugar Bowl selecting 10-2 Bama (who beat Ark.) over 10-2 Ark.
EDT: AU also beating USC in the SECCG

The thing is, if Aub loses to Ala then Aub goes to the Sugar, provided they beat SC. Right?

Yes, they would be the top ranked SEC team that isn't in the NCG. Although there is a slim chance a one loss AU can still end up in the NCG.

Only problem with that scenario is that the same projection has Auburn in the NCG, which, by all accounts, would be difficult after losing to Bama.

That is the exact reason I started this thread. Doesn't make sense.

Auburn can still make the title game after losing to Bama ... it will be interesting to see how things play out. #1 if Oregon loses, the humans will not put TCU vs Boise...#2Even if Oregon doesn't lose, the voters might still balk at putting either Boise or TCU in over a 1-loss SEC champion.
Even Brad Edwards said this is a possibility.

I thought were trying to frick us for this exact reason, so bama can get to the sugar after we beat arky.

Interesting... I agree with #1, I just don't see Oregon losing. For #2, I've been under the assumption that TCU would get in over a 1-loss SEC champ. How mad would the mid-majors be if that happened?

The head to head really doesn't matter. The bowl will take whoever they think will draw better ratings.
