Remember in '06 we weren't talked about much by ESPN.

LSU was talked about as possibly the best team at the end of the season

Can ANY of you that have this paranoid notion that ESPN ALWAYS hates LSU every year just answer one question:

Why does ESPN hate LSU?

frick it, make it 2 questions, LOL.

Isn't it a more logical explanation that you guys are just letting your bias towards LSU cloud your judgment as opposed to ESPN having some secret, unexplained hatred for LSU?

Bama and Miss. St. for two. Did anyone notice that the BCS show on ESPN was cut to 15 minutes last night? I guess that the soccer game was more important.

Oh yeah. How many ranked teams has Michigan rolled over this year, or last year, or the year before?

I think it has something to do with the fact that Wisconsin will probably win the big ten. Espn feels like a team that wins their conference should be ranked higher.
Stanford-- well because they supposedly have the best qb in college football dating back to 15-20 years. Lol. Oh and they are a california team ...

Right so when Oregon beats cal 15-13 it's okay.
Auburn beats Kentucky and Miss St by field goals it's okay.
Virginia tech gets beat by James Madison its okay... They will probably make it into a BCS game.
Shame on LSU for beating everyone and
losing to the best player in college football
this year at his house. maybe
auburn isn't that good because with 4
minutes left in that game LSU could have
tied it. Huh. Weird how you can do that for teams huh.

I just get tired of the double standard. What gets overlooked in one team is a glaring deficiency for another. Relevant facts are unmentioned when describing games and seasons.
LSU beat a team last week by the EXACT same score as boise won friday night, over a team in a mid-major conf just like the team boise beat. And this ole miss team that played lsu close scored MORE than boise did against fresno!

the show was on from 5p to 6p. i forwarded through most of it because i'm not interested in the comparison of boisenberry and tcu. nor am i interested in the heisman discussion.

on the o.p., the reason why is because outside of lsu, every one believes that the tenn game was a loss. so, in their minds, lsu has two losses, one of them to a bad tenn team.

the stats you posted are the point i would make to them. they are inconsistent with their own criteria. herby has been pumping up boise for weeks and states that "body of work" is his biggest criteria. if that's the case then lsu is #3 in the nation behind auburn and oregon. btw, he also has oregon in front of auburn. oregon has played 4 teams that were ranked at some point in the season. auburn has played 6.

they think they are experts because their job is watching and analyzing games but, they are always caught in these types of contradictions.

smith even admitted it when he said that the objectivity is for the computers and his job is to be subjective in order to balance out the computers, ostensibly to keep teams like lsu (who don't "look good") from being ranked too high
