don't let facts get in the way of someone who wants to overreact after game 2 in the basketball season

Ehhh... Fortunately you can afford to lose to a bad team in basketball and baseball and still have a good season.

that is not the case with this team. this team will be worse than last year
TJ is not doing a good job recruiting

Ok, we lost to Nicholls, but that is just absurd. Stringer, Turner, Cortney, Darenbecker and transfer Malcolm White...c'mon man.

TJ will either pull the wagon with the rope or he will hang himself. Meanwhile, patience and calmness is all there should be. What LSU accomplishes in Men's basketball this year will not save someone's life from cancer or cure schizophenia in a tragic victim. It is just entertainment. We know LSU does not have the talent to win the whole National championship this year, so do not get your hopes up. Just casually observe and enjoy what you can. Eventually, changes will be made when money is not flowing anymore.

if you are so confident, then i'm sure you wouldn't mind wagering with me on that?

From reading this thread it is clear that 98% of the posters on this cite couldn't have told you one player on the team, players that will be on the team next year, or anything else regarding our basketball program.

true, and whats sad is that if you can name the entire team this year, you're all but two guys away from naming all of next years team as well. People are dumb. If you see game 1 where 2 freshmen are the leading scorers, is it a reasonable assumption that you will be able to score points consistently? No, it isn't, and if you have the right expectations then this shite won't surprise you. It may disappoint you, but it won't surprise you.

Come on, bet me on it if you are so confident

LSU's budget vs. Nicholls' athletic budget really make this a poor sign for LSU b-ball
on a side note, what a game by Antoly Bose..28 pts

how so? We're relying on freshmen, is not inconceivable that they would come out flat against a team that they should be heavily favored over?

to anyone with a reasonable mind:
How confident are you that Trent Johnson can and "will" make LSU relevant not just in the SEC but National contenders ?
Finally, How long will this process take in your opinion ?
BTW..I think TJ is an upstanding coach with good ties to the community. I am just impatient at times with the Men's basketball program. I am just one of the few who love the rock at LSU. I like watching college and NBA action.

this is the first year to have his players here, give him another year to get them experience

Well, Uncle Sam...I haven't really made any predictions yet, but considering this loss, I will be happy for any post season and this team will improve. The SEC west isn't the ACC or anything so a lot can happen. I don't care of you come back and eat crow or not and you may not have to. But to say that Johnson isn't recruiting is false. We had one of our better classes.
